DESCRIPTION
• The prerequisites
Many presentations require basic knowledge of chemistry, such as terminology, in order to understand the presentations or just basic knowledge of mathematical functions. In others students do not need to have any special knowledge, only the terms used should be explained during the interpretation of the slides, for example in the TLC and GLS presentation the terms distribution, stationary or mobile medium should be explained.
• The contents
The website consists of large number of different power point presentations in different subjects with large section of chemistry presentations. The content of the presentations is mostly descriptive fundamental knowledge. In many cases the proposed experimental setup is unnecessarily complicated.
• The aims
The presentations mostly aim to provide simple descriptions of the proposed topic and provide simple experiments to conduct. For example the Boyle´s Law presentation aims to show the relationship between pressure and volume of gases.
• Task Description
For example in the Boyle´s Law presentation students should count the product of two numbers and find out that it is constant. According to previous theory students should think of volume of bubbles that are released from the bottom of the sea.
• How to use it in class
Some of the proposed material can be used for teaching in class, but if it were accompanied by introductory and continuous experiments, it would provide for active experiential learning. In some presentations I see no point in using it in class due to the absence of illustrative images. The information contained in the presentation is sometimes so simple that there is no need to use the presentation, but just verbally discuss the topic is enough. The only way how to use these would be homework. Students would study it and answer the questions in the end. Others can be used as a brief overview of the proposed topic.
COMMENTS
• Points of strength
Conciseness - can be used as an overview
Some contain useful real life examples
• Points of weakness
Some presentations contain different presentations than they should, for example the power point presentation called Charles Law consists of 16 slides devoted to World War and not to chemistry. Others contain no experiment and are too brief. For example in the TLC and GLC presentation are only two ways mentioned in chromatography and even those are not properly described. Or the “Groups 1 – Alkali metals” presentation is too ambiguous for the target groups, even for lower secondary pupils it is too easy, there are no characteristic reactions, just one with water. The task is according to previous slides primitive. On the other hand the presentation works with terminology as outer shell, which might be difficult for lower secondary and on fact it is not described what it is. Also there are no experiments, nor any other typical reactions. Too few images and real life examples, where the students could get an idea of real life use. Some presentations are ordered in illogical manner with low quality pictures or difficult to read names.
• Scientific reliability
Presentations are often very simplified, and therefore are bound to contain some inaccuracies.
• Pedagogic value
Given the brevity of the material, the presentations can be used at all levels. At the lowest in this simple way and at higher levels as an introduction to the topic. In any case, it is desirable to include at least a simple experiment.

Message: The portal is a source of Chemistry PowerPoint Presentations free to download. Free Chemistry Powerpoint Presentations are great for KS1 KS2 KS3 KS4 and post 16 A level lessonplans, K-12 and more. These presentations can be used and altered freely or any power point template used in this presentations site for other teachers. The portal invites all teachers not only chemistry ones to consider submitting their work for other teachers to download too. The basic concept of the portal is all about sharing materials and helping other teachers with ready made materials and lesson plans.
I myslef didn\'t like many of them. They are not interactive at all - maybe quite good for revision but in a long run they maybe boring for students.

Message: This website is going to be so useful for the chemistry learners and teachers. But there are some problem about this website.Normally like this websites need to include or serve everybody. But this website have only powerpoints. It can be beneficial for the students who need this kind of works. But when we look the childs perspective, this website is not enjoying for them.It is a big issu in the 21.century.But on the other hand if the website responsibles put some video or some other documents it is going to address to everyone. Because accumulation of knowledge shows that we need more contents day by day. When we look from other side this webside includes very power point . By the way before i enter this page I saw that this web page is so old. This reason made me feel that its going to be very useful website.

National Reports on successful experiences to promote lifelong learning for chemistry The national reports on chemistry successful experiences to promote lifelong learning for chemistry are now available on the related section of the project portal. The reports presents examples of successful experiences in the partner countries and the results of testing of ICT resources with science teachers.
