Madridi+d is the website on science and technology produced by "fundation for knowledge madri+d" . The web shows us science news and activities with students in Mdrid Commnunity by teachers and science communicators.

You can find in this website a section named "science and society" that contains science learning experiences:
http://www.madrimasd.org/cienciaysociedad/madrid-es-ciencia/default.asp

In this link we can find information about "Madrid por la ciencia" (Madrid Science Fair). The Madrid Science Fair is one of the main activities of the Science and Society Program in Madrid with the aim of promoting a policy of science communication from experts to citizens but also seeks to increase citizen participation in scientific activities.. The website has a wiki open to the participation of all through forms that promote collaborative learning.

Aims:
- To bring science to citizenship
- To make students interested in chemistry.
- To have the student appreciate, learn and understand chemistry's basic concepts through experimentation.
- To spread scientific culture and research.

Use in classroom:
We can use the videos and practical experiences reports to participate and teach chemistry through experimentation and research activities. Also, our students can participate in the wiki adding new contents in the website.
COMMENTS
Points of strength:
- A high variety of experiences available in the web.
- A good organization of educational resources.
-A wiki open to cooperative learning.
-You can search with a Resource Finder videos, experiments and activities.

- Points of weakness:
We miss didactic guides for teachers in the website.

Scientific reliability
Good.

Pedagogic value:
"Madrid por la ciencia" is an example of the Rocard´s Report recomendation topromote the participation of cities and the local community in the renewal of science education
and the participation of non formal teaching in science spreading.

It also has a high pedagogic value for teachers and students and it´s perfect to design your own practical experiences and science fairs.
