Description of Dissemination Event:
A short presentation of the project aims and scope (via 2 transparencies) was done during a training seminar organized in the Department of Organic Farming and Agriculture at TEI of Ionian Islands in Argostoli, Kefallonia.nThe theme of the training seminar was the Antimicrobial and Antioxidant properties of local aromatic plants. Dr. Koulougliotis and Dr. Eriotou presented results of their scientific research on this subject in members of the local community. During their presentations, they took the opportunity to also mention the importance of increasing chemical literacy by refering to the incolvement of TEI of Ionian Islands in the Chemistry is All Around Network.nNote: In the supporting material we have put the seminar announcement on the internet site of our Insitute.

There were three questions from the audience, after the end of the seminar, regarding the program (they were asking for more information, wanted to show again the transparency for writing down the internet address of the project).nAn interesting short discussion was done on the issue of chemical literacy and its importance for small communities, like the ones on islands (Kefalonia).
