Message: This magazine is a very theoretical source of information quite interesting but rather for univeristy students. Secondary and junior secondary students may find it to serious and problematic to read. Some articles are quite comlex and quite difficult to follow for the average student. In issue 53 there are some interesting and funny comments about the computers, microchips and electrons which were real good resource for disscussion for my students.

Message: This teaching resource is a magazine that publishes three times in each year an it is actually for chemistry teachers. The web site is produced by Peter Childs and the web site also includes Chem Ed Ireland Discussion Group, Chemistry Diary of Events, ChemEd-Ireland Conferences, Education in Chemistry, Chemical Classics links for the chmeistry teachers. This source is a literacy resource for chemistry and the chemistry in action first issue is published in 1980, so this is a wide historical literacy for chemistry. I think it is difficult to read and understand for basic chemistry students, because there are very complex issues in the magazine, but it is important for to see the chemistry events from 1980s till today in this magazine. And the other good thing is, there are really interesting stories related to chemistry in some issues and it can attract people’s attention to chemistry as a science area.
