Message: This is a fantastic collection of web links for students and teachers at all levels of chemistry learning and teaching.
There is a wealth of information and most importantly the site seems to be well-maintained, with current updates evident. It includes weblinks to e-books and courses on all kinds of chemistry topics.
Just to give a flavour of the most recent additions: these include -
RSC Practical Chemistry
Introductory Chemistry OnLine
Science 2.0
Analytical Chemistry 2.0
New or Revised Chem1 Virtual Textbook modules
The Basics of atoms, moles, formulas, equations, nomenclature. Major revision, Feb 2012.
Saylor Foundation free Chemistry courses
History and Timeline of Green Chemistry
KnowledgeDoor
Chemical Education Digital Library
ChemistryLand
Not all the materials are freeware and some are more suitable for teachers rather than learners. They curriculum links are largely to the US key education stages but they could be adapted for EU schools.
The weblinks include humourous materials that could trigger activities, quizzes, reviews, periodicals, textbooks, blogs and student-oriented material.
This webportal is well worth a browse.
National Reports on successful experiences to promote lifelong learning for chemistry The national reports on chemistry successful experiences to promote lifelong learning for chemistry are now available on the related section of the project portal.
