Main features of the site - promoting ecology, permanent development of the activities for environmental protection.
Main objective - to reinforce the awareness of Ecology as a science and the related issue
The content includes five main sections:
- Ecology - it describes the nature and history of Ecology. Environmental factors as biotic, antibiotic and anthropogenic are explained.
- Environmental protection - air, water, soil, flora and fauna.
- Environmental problems – of the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, soil, biodiversity, war and peace, demographic collapse, waste and others.
- Sustainable development -the ways to ensure sustainable development, its characteristics and ways to achieve it are discussed.
- Encyclopedia – information about the environmental legislation and some trivia are offered.
Application - Chemistry and environmental protection lessons as well as in Chemical products and technologies subjects.
COMMENTS
The site has been used in our school for over 5 years. It was created with the idea to promote the work of the Young Ecologist club at school.
The main advantage of the site is that it provides useful, available to our students information about the environment.
The site has good scientific and educational value. The information in the site is related to Ecology and Environmental Protection subjects.
We think that a weak part of the site is the fact that there is not enough information on the topics. Of course in the future students and teachers will work on solving this problem.
