As a result of that, the software which was produced so that the teacher could teach the subjects of “ The World, Sun and Moon” unit of the science and Technology lesson was produced by means of Macromedia Flash Program. A research was carried out with 80 students from from the 5-C and 5-F classes of Buca Primary School of the 2006-2007 academıc year. In another phase, the writer gives information on problem of the research, asking a question to the reader “Do educational technologies and material supported science and technology teaching have an effect on the problem solving skills of primary school 5th grade students?”
In another phase, the author gives information on why this research is conducted and why this research is important. He suggests some answer to the questions which are mentioned in this paragraph. And he associates the aim of this research and the importance of this research. And he assumes that the strategies which are implemented during the class make the class more attractive and easier.
In the rest of the article it is mentioned that there some hypotheses about the research. It gives some information about Methodology and its subheadings; Model of the research, Scope and Participants and Data Collection Means. And it also exclaim the findings obtained in accordance with the main goal of the research. It shows the difference between the pre-test and post-test points of both the experimental and control groups.

Message: This is an interesting piece of work which shows evidence, via field research and statistical analysis, that the use of educational technology for science teaching can enhance primary school students’ problem solving skills and it can thus be considered as a successful experience in teaching science.
The publication deals with science teaching in primary school, which is an important fact, since much less is known in relation with this educational level as far as science teaching is concerned. The publication is written in a concise manner but it contains quite a few language and syntax errors which undermine its quality.
Even though, the authors pull out their conclusions via research, I think that the publication would benefit if more details were given on the specific contents and design of the novel educational material that was tested as well as on the research tools that were used. Even so, I believe that this publication adds value to the discussion related with the pros and cons of the use of educational technology for teaching science-related course.
