Practical information regarding the use
of the site/simulation...
The site is very user friendly, there is not a lot of text. For the games it would be better if the children could work at PCs in small groups
Information about the class
Primary school year 4, 24 students
Suggestion for use
The resource applies to the primary school Social Environmental and Science Education curriculum where the students study materials in a spiral curriculum over six years.
The children need access to PCs and good internet so it is probably better for school work.
Insights into student
use / thinking
The students liked the Deadly 60 game and were learning about states of matter without realising!
Teacher’s conclusions
This was a good help with delivering a particular part of the science curriculum . The students could have done it at home or in small groups and there is also an interactive quiz to reinforce the learning.
