DESCRIPTION
Prerequisites:
Flash Player is needed to access certain types of content on the Web.
Some applications run only by using Internet Explorer.
This site doesn´t have specific prerequisites. The subjects have a basic level.

Contents:
Web page where you can learn and experiment with the subject: his estates, properties, and behavior changes. Each theoretical explanation comes with an animation to make more visual the contents and that the student apply the theoretical basis for real experiments.

On the left you can see the three parts in which is divided the content of the web, matter, mixtures of materials and behavior of matter. In the Matter link at the end there is a scheme with multiple entries.

At the top there is a group of colored buttons. Each button-link is a color and put the mouse over any of them you can hear a sound file status prompt to where it takes you to links: Matter, Solids, Liquids, Gases, properties of matter, changes matter, mixtures of materials., behavior of matter, Activities, and Help

Aims:
- To define what is matter in how many states we can find.
- Recognize the properties possessed by the subject.
- Tell a chemical change of a physical change.
- Analyze the contaminating effects of the discharges that take place in the environment.
- Attitude of curiosity and respect to the new environment they are learning.
- Assessment of computer and Internet as a tool that helps us in our education.

Use in classroom:
The educational materials are designed for classroom use in primary school during knowledge of the environment classes. We must not forget the key role of the teacher explaining and showing the web on computers because many of the animated illustrations are designed to supplement the explanation.
COMMENTS
Points of strength:
- Attractive design.
- This resource uses the visual and sound in content.
- Facility in access and use of the resource.
- It has a tutorial for the teachers and the students.
- All contents come with animations

Points of weakness
- Sometimes the sounds overlap.
- The proposed activities are not interactive.

Scientific reliability
Average.

Pedagogic value:

The web is a supporting document and a tool of the teacher will be fundamental piece for the acquisition of knowledge that are to be teach, because the web does not cover all the contents to be explained in the "teaching unit" that has made for dissemination on the Internet. It has a good resource to use in classroom but it could have more activities and show them by applets.
