DESCRIPTION
Prerequisites:

This teaching resource does not require any special software for functioning and has free access.Concepts on general chemistry for secondary school level are needed.

Contents:

We can find in it several links to educational books, pictures, exercises and problems, analogies for teaching chemistry and scientific spreading. Two sections, about scientific words etymology and educational analogies are particulary insteresting.

We can find a lot of examples about daily life chemistry (materials, medicines, enviroment, etc...)and links to institutions and science museums that promote STS contents in chemistry teaching.

Aims:

- Contribute to the formation of scientific literacy.
- Contribute to the students' motivation in learning chemistry and other experimental sciences.
- Support the work of teachers in science subjects at various educational levels.
- To emphasize upon students the role of chemistry on social behavior.

Use in classroom:
This resource can be used by the students(problems, questions, experiments) and teachers (images, books, educational analogies, resources).

The educational materials are des, igned can be used in these levels and subjects:
3º ESO / Physics and Chemistry
4º ESO / Physics and Chemistry
1º Bachillerato / Physics and Chemistry
COMMENTS
Points of strength:
-The educational analogies on chemistry. They are very useful to teachers.
-The problems and questions are contextualized and can be interesting for students.
-Section about ethymology promotes relationship with other subjects.
-Promotes STS contents.

Points of weakness:
