DESCRIPTION
Prerequisites:
Flash Player is needed to access certain types of content on the Web. It is required that the student knows the basic knowledge of chemistry.

Contents:
The blog fq-experiments is a collection of more than 160 experiments in physics and chemistry that can be made with simple and cheap materials. In each one we have a description of materials needed, development, explanation, recommendations, etc.
200 experiments. This work has been awarded with 1st prize Educared for best collaborative work between teachers from different schools.

Aims:

- To get students interested in the
conducting science experiments using simple materials.

- Use ICT efficiently in research, problem solving and project-based learning in chemistry.

- To change the attitudes of students towards studying science, especially physics and chemistry.

Use in classroom:

You can work in classroom by preparing a list of home experiments and distributing them to students. They have to do a report of their experiment with an explanation, comments, difficulty, etc.

This blog can be used in all levels of secondary education in Nature Sciences and Physics and Chemistry.
COMMENTS
Points of strength:
-You can find a lot of different experiments.
-The blog has a guide about how to work in the classroom with home experiments for teachers.
- The blog develops in the students the collaborative and problem solving learning.
- You can find the report of each experiment in each video.
- The videos are labeled with keywords and this make easier the searching.

Points of weakness:
- We miss a thematic classification of experiments.

Scientific reliability:
Good.

Pedagogic value:
This resource has a high pedagogic value.
Experimental learning constitute a clear incentive in the students’ attitude towards the subject and video-experiments are an educational tool with great potential for physics and chemistry teaching
