DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS
The publication is an official legal document produced by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and it has been in force since 17 January 2012. It is divided into sections describing basic and extended requirements concerning teacher education.
The document presents general learning outcomes according to the ministerial requirements following three basic sections
- knowledge
- skills
- social competences
It also introduces detailed prerequisites for teacher training.
In the knowledge section the ministry specifies basic theoretical aspects with reference to chemistry (the students has a grounded knowledge of/ the students knows/ understands etc.)
In the skills section of the learning outcomes the ministry concentrates on the more practical aspects of the chemistry course graduate (the student can implement, is able to use and demostrate certain skills; is able to work with students with special educational needs; is able to speak foreign languages etc.)
As far as social comptences are concerned the section verifies basic social knowledge (the student understands the need of constant professional development, understands cultural differences and is able to work with people from various cultures. As far as competences are concerned students are also aware of all the safety regulations which need to be followed in the chemistry labolatory.
The document specifies detailed information concerning the organization and administation of teacher training studies.
It describes in detail both I and II cycle programmes (Bachelor and Master degrees). It also gives reference to post-diploma programmes.
The document presents exact number of the teaching modules (number of classes, modes of study, numbers of classes per semester or year and detailed assessment methods (including ECTS credits)

It has been validated and accredities by the authority bodies and ministerial departments.

A very useful source of information for prospective teachers especially those who want to develop professionally and teach chemistry as a second subject at lower secondary schools.
I specifies all the requirements and prerequisites needed to become a well educated teacher of any subject chemistry including.
Written in a formal language, sometimes difficult to follow but reliable and up-to date.

Message: Official document relating to the ministerial directives with reference to teacher training in case of chemistry.
Quite difficult to follow as far a form of language is concerned but a good source of information - reliable as it contains regulations for teacher development.
