DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS
The book is primarily intended for parents who under the slogan "There must be something out of my child" automatically associate his or her success with success in school. On this basis, parents try to lead a child to the best school results and of course all for the good of the child. These methods are often not only ineffective but contra productive. They result in penalties and sanctions instead of a home peace. This book is intended to provide suggestions how to solve problems with the child and not against it. The school represents a parent-child relationship. The solutions proposed in this book are also valid for solutions and motivation in other areas. The book is divided into eight chapters regarding following topics: When the school does not work, Model of the needs, When parents help with homework, Partner behavior, Written school projects and bad marks, Reward systems, Tutoring, and Interviews with teachers. The annex contains also guidance and advice to determine own learning style. The book is very successful because it is focused on praxis. It contains a lot of pictures, tests and practical guides to solving the above problems.
REVIEWER’S COMMENTS ON THE PUBLICATION
This book is one of the key books used by teachers, but especially parents and all who are concerned with learning about the motivation of pupils and students. It is in Czech language, which in Slovakia is not a problem, because these languages are virtually identical. It is widely used by a broad parent and professional teacher public. It is crucial for the project, because in Slovakia there is virtually no complete book publications that deal with motivating pupils and students - there are only partial appearances at conferences or seminars or undergraduate works or articles focusing on niche areas and objects.
