REVIEWER’S COMMENTS ON THE PUBLICATION
One of the few posts on student motivation, which deals with basic principles of student motivation, focuses on the determinants that affect motivation as a character and school focus and teacher personality. The contribution is based on two questionnaire surveys. The first one is focused on the students determining the main motivation factors, the second on the teachers determining whether the teachers suffer from the burn out syndrome. The survey involved 115 students and found that most motivation factor is modern teaching equipment 65%, and for 15% of students own desire to study, to broaden their knowledge. The greatest disincentives factors were monotone teaching and 70% speech as well as teacher’s appearance.
For teachers, the survey involved 30 teachers and showed that 70% of the surveyed teachers think that they have lost motivation for the teaching profession and up to 40% of teachers with two year work experience feel burnt out.
