The aim of this paper is to pursue a course of introductory lectures from didactics of university level mathematics with the topic of motivation. This contribution is based on the extremely successful book of Loy McGinnisa Allan - Success, which contains 12 simple principles, a number of challenging ideas, specific experiences to stimulate students to maximum performance and the passion for teaching. The article was created as a free methodology and methods translation of psychological text in Mathematics Education, while maintaining the context, but the stories are the sole content of didactics of mathematics and student life. This text is designed for general math, teaching and the general public, who works in the educational process with students in schools VŠTEZ. Since most teachers of mathematics in schools VŠTEZ do not have educational or vocational educational training the article aim is show in an understandable, visual first report form with emphasis on many examples of successful behavior and practical experience, on ideas to ponder and analyses of own teaching . Present teaching integrates the teaching of ICT in a wide range. In this context, the ability to motivate students gains particular importance. In a separate appendix examples of each principles, approaches and experiences can be observed. Software Mathematica can play an important role in the learning process with emphasis on student motivation.
REVIEWER’S COMMENTS ON THE PUBLICATION
This article is crucial to the project because the author is one of the few teachers of technical subjects engaged in motivating students based on the 12 principles of Loy McGinnisa Allan - Success. This can be seen as one approach to motivation, but is very valuable because the motivation of students in natural sciences and engineering in Slovakia no one does deal with and literature in this area basically does not exist. The paper deals with practical examples how to motivate students, psychology of motivation, desire for motivation, why are not our students ready for practice in terms of motivation, resources of motivation, motivation plans for students. The paper lists 8 specific experiential examples from practice and didactic examples of their solutions.
